Witnesses are urged to come forward after a man was attacked with hammer in Great Yarmouth.
The incident happened in Middle Market Road on Tuesday, March 29 as the victim, a man in his 30s, walked towards Nelson Road when he was approached by another man, armed with a hammer.
The victim was struck with the hammer, causing him to fall unconscious.
Several members of the public came to the man's aid and it is thought these people could have witnessed the assault.
The man suffered cut to his head and officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information concerning it.
