An investigation will continue today into the death of a young man in a west Norfolk grain silo.
Police and health and safety officers have been at the scene of the accident in Fincham since yesterday lunchtime.
Emergency crews including an air ambulance were called to Larchwood Foods, Swaffham Road, at around 11.05am, on reports that a man had fallen into the silo.
The man, who has not been named but is believed to be 22 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police confirmed last night that the man's death was
not being treated as suspicious.
Seven fire and rescue crews attended – three from Downham Market, one from King's Lynn and three specialised urban search and rescue teams which are based at Dereham fire station.
Norfolk police confirmed that they are working with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
A Norfolk police spokesman said: 'Following investigations by Kings Lynn CID officers and representatives from the Health and Safety Executive, the man's death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner, which will be handed over in due course.'
A spokesman for the region's HSE said: 'We are aware of the incident and we have an officer there investigating.'
