A man has been jailed after admitting production of cannabis at a pig farm in Bradenham less than two years after he was cleared of conspiracy to produce drugs at the same site.
Mark Jude, 50, was sentenced to 40 months imprisonment at Norwich Crown Court after having previously admitted a charge of production of cannabis, a controlled drug of class B.
The offence, which relates to May 6 last year, was discovered after police executed a drugs warrant at Hale Road in Bradenham and found 113 plants in one building and 50 plants in another.
A police drugs expert estimated the street value of thee drugs found to be between £61,000 and £81,000.
It was also established the electricity supply had not been bypassed from the national grid with usage for March 2016 found to be £1,500 compared to £13,536 in April 2016.
Jude, of West Carr Road, Attleborough, who was sentenced last month, was arrested in May 2016 at the site which was where, in 2013, police discovered a large cannabis factory.
Officers were alerted via a 999 call on November 24, 2013, which alleged threats made with a firearm.
Upon arrival and after further enquiries, they found the highly organised and sophisticated production operation, with over 1000 cannabis plants being seized, along with equipment associated with drugs cultivation.
Following the find Jude and two co-defendants, Andrew Deakin and Paul May, were arrested and charged with offences, including conspiracy to produce cannabis between January 2012 and November 2013.
All three went on trial following which Jude, who had also been accused of abstracting electricity, was cleared of all charges he faced.
But Jude's co-defendants were both found guilty and in December 2015 Deakin, then 52 and of Oxford Road, Clacton on Sea, was jailed for seven years after being convicted of one count of conspiracy to produce cannabis, one count of conspiracy to supply cannabis and one count of concealing criminal earnings.
May, then 37 and from Hall Street, Long Melford, was sentenced to five and a half years after being convicted of conspiracy to produce cannabis, conspiracy to supply cannabis and possession with intent to supply.
