A man secretly filmed indecent images of a woman in a busy Norwich store by holding a hidden camcorder up her skirt.

Police appealed for information following the incident at about 1.45pm yesterday on Thursday in the HMV store in Gentleman's Walk, Norwich.

And officers warned that more women could have been filmed, urging any who noticed a man acting suspiciously at around this time to contact them.

The offender was described as white, in his early 30s, about 5ft 8ins and stocky. He was wearing a white T-shirt, blue tracksuit bottoms and was carrying a beige and black rucksack.

Investigating officer PC Francesca Shimi said: “This incident happened during a busy lunchtime and it is likely that a number of people may have seen it - it is also possible that more than one woman was filmed in this manner.

“We are appealing for any women who were shopping on the premises yesterday lunchtime, perhaps on a work lunchbreak, and noticed a man acting suspiciously to contact us.”

A 32-year-old man from the Yarmouth area has been arrested in connection with this incident and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
