A 63-year-old man accused of masterminding illegal raves across Norfolk has been given a three year anti-social behaviour order.

Christopher Farrow, from Wedmore Road, Hitichin, Hertfordshire, appeared before a District Jude at Cromer Magistrates Court earlier today.

He accepted a three year ASBO for supply sound equipment to four raves earlier this year but continued to deny being the infamous DJ Shazam, the organiser and mastermind behind the events.

The order follows an interim ASBO awarded against Farrow in May.

It followed a particularly disruptive rave which took place at Horsey Gap between May 5 and 7.

The illegal event involved around 1000 people and 300 to 400 vehicles and left a costly trail of damage and litter including fire damage, drug paraphernalia and human excrement.

In court Farrow's solicitor Anna Morris said: “Mr Farrow, whilst agreeing to this anti-social behaviour order does not accept that he is the mastermind behind the raves.”

North Norfolk District Council said it hoped the order would send a clear message to all those involved in raves that they will not be tolerated.
