Man charged with grooming and sex offences following incident in Great Yarmouth

A 50-year-old man has been charged in connection with sexual grooming offences in Great Yarmouth.

It follows an incident in the town yesterday where a man was arrested shortly before 4pm and taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Kevin Ward, of no fixed abode, has been charged with five offences. These include two counts of an adult attempting to meet a girl under the age of 16 following grooming and three counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.

Ward has been remanded in police custody to appear at Norwich Magistrates' Court tomorrow morning (Thursday, October 26).
