Man arrested on suspicion of drink driving after crash in Yarmouth

A man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving in the early hours of this morning, after crashing his car in Yarmouth.

It happened at around 4.25am, when the VW Passat crashed into the traffic lights at the junction of Caister Road and Barnard Crescent.

The driver initially left the scene on foot, but was then found and arrested.

One fire crew from Great Yarmouth also attended.

They made the scene and vehicle safe.
