Man arrested on suspicion of drink driving after crash in Besthorpe

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a crash in Besthorpe this morning.
Officers were called to Norwich Road at 5.23am after a Peugeot 306 rolled upside down.
The driver, thought to be a man in his 20s, was said to be shocked but not seriously injured.
Emergency services were called and the road was blocked.
A 29-year-old man from the Wymondham area is in custody at Wymondham Police Station.
In a separate incident, police attended a two-car crash on the A1065 at Hilborough after a call at 6.51am.
Occupants of the white Nissan Navara and the silver Mercedes did not require medical attention in the damage-only collision.

They arranged recovery of vehicles themselves, but police were called to manage the flow of traffic as there was debris in the road.
Two cars crashed in Rackheath at the junction of Green Lane West with Wroxham Road, with police called at 7.43am.
The vehicles were a red Renault Clio and a second car, and it is understood that one person suffered slight neck pain.
Paramedics attended.
Police were also notified about an injured deer in the road at Hellington, off the A146 south of Norwich, but officers said this was for information purposes only and no attendance was required.
