A man has been arrested in Norwich after rubbing his face on the window of a police van.

The incident occurred at around 3.30am on Saturday in Prince of Wales Road.

The man, who was described by PC Jon Parker as 'very drunk', is said to have rubbed his face up and down the passenger door window of the van, where the sergeant was sitting.

The man was asked to move away but refused, before verbally abusing the sergeant.

The man was then arrested.

PC Parker described the incident as 'very bizarre'.
