A man who armed himself with a knife on a busy road in Lowestoft has been arrested by police.
At around 7.45pm on Thursday, a member of the public alerted police to a man on Denmark Road in the town, who was concealing a knife, described by a police spokesman as 'a kitchen or vegetable knife'.
A 33-year-old man from Carlton Colville was arrested in connection with the incident and was taken to Great Yarmouth CID for further questioning.
A spokesman for Suffolk Police confirmed that the man was also arrested on a warrant from another police force.
The knife has been detained by police.
