A 28-year-old man was taken to hospital with life-threatening head and facial injuries following a road traffic collision in Thetford yesterday.
An air ambulance was called to treat the man following the incident on Vicarage Road at around 3.45pm.
On arrival, the medical crew aboard carried out an assessment of the patient before he was sedated and anaesthetised.
His spine was then immobilised before he was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital, in Cambridge, by a road ambulance for further specialist treatment to life-threatening head and facial injuries.
