A Lowestoft man has been jailed for more than six months, after admitting to stealing items from two homes.
James Austin, 23 of London Road South, pleaded guilty to two charges of theft at Great Yarmouth Magistrates Court on Friday, as well as counts of resisting arrest and possession of cannabis.
An officer had gone to arrest him in connection with the theft incidents – including one in Lawson Road between 7 and 8 July, where a television were taken – when he violently resisted.
He was arrested and subsequently charged with the offences, initially pleading not guilty before changing his plea on Friday.
He has been jailed for 36 weeks.
