The trial of a 70-year-old Suffolk man accused of indecently assaulting a schoolgirl more than 40 years ago will take place in December.
Anthony McDonald, of Dutchman Court, Beccles Road, Lowestoft, pleaded not guilty at a plea and trial preparation hearing at Ipswich Crown Court today to eight offences of indecent assault.
The offences are alleged to have been committed between August 1975 and August 1979.
Andrew Thompson for McDonald estimated his client's trial would last four or five days.
Judge John Devaux adjourned the case until December 11, when the trial is due to start.
