A 45-year-old man was assaulted and robbed of cash by four attackers, as he waited for a fast food delivery on his doorstep in Carlton Colville.

Detectives are continuing their investigations and are asking anyone who may have been in the Oliver Close area of Carlton Colville about 8.50pm on Wednesday night (April 4), to come forward.

A police spokesman said: 'The man was expecting a fast food delivery and went to answer his doorbell with some cash in his hand. When he opened the door he saw four men with their faces partially covered, three wearing black clothing and one in grey, and he was struck in the face.

'The money was then snatched from his hand and the men fled,' the spokesman added.

The 45-year-old suffered slight injuries to his face.

Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area around this time who may have seen the incident or the men, or anyone with information about who they are, to call Det Con 703 Quantrill at Lowestoft CID on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously if required, on 0800 555 111.
