Hundreds of people in Lowestoft have been given a chance to find out about the major projects and developments heading for the town.

The Lowestoft Information Event at the Britten Centre featured a video of what the town's third crossing would look like and stands on the Lowestoft Flood Risk Management Project and the creation of town councils for the resort and Oulton Broad.

Held over Friday and Saturday the district council event featured Lowestoft Rising, police, Access Community Trust, Lowestoft Vision and the Marina Theatre among others.

Peter Aldous, Waveney MP who attended on Saturday, said: 'There is an awful lot happening in Lowestoft and it is good to give people an update on what is going on.'

Richard Best, active communities manager at the district council, said he was pleased with how the event had gone and similar ones would be planned.
