This group of Lowestoft belly dancers will be showing off their exotic and flexible dance moves as they take part in a major charity show.

The members of Utopian Sunrise will be performing at the East Anglian Belly Dance Superstars event at the Seckford Theatre in Woodbridge, near Ipswich on Saturday night.

It will be the region's largest belly dancing event.

Utopian Sunrise will be performing with about 17 other belly dancing groups and acts at the show to help raise funds for MIND, Ipswich Cats Protection and Just Because, a registered charity set up by belly dancers to raise funds and promote awareness for breast cancer for women in Egypt.

The group is made up of Heather Cook, Deborah Nichols, Lisa Simpson, Paula Harper, Melissa Botwright and Susan Haigh was formed in 2008.

Since being formed the group have performed at events across the region, such as the Corton carnival.

Mrs Cook, 35, from Kessingland and who teaches belly dancing at the Venue of Performing Arts at Oulton Broad, will also be performing a solo dance at Saturday night's charity show.

She said: 'We are looking forward to hitting the stage and dazzling the audience. It will be a real family friendly show and will be great fun.

'We all enjoy belly dancing. We feel in our element when we do it and it is very good for you as it keeps you very fit and healthy.'
