An event at Southwold Library is to demonstrate to children how they can keep their feline friends happy, healthy and full of fun.

On April 7, from 2pm, Framlingham and Saxmundham Cat Protection League will visit Southwold Library to run the event full of cat themed fun, quizzes and practical information.

A spokesman for Framlingham and Saxmundham Cat Protection League said: 'It is a great opportunity to learn what they should and shouldn't eat; how to keep them amused to discourage fighting and hunting and how to care for them.

Organisers will also talk to children and offer them information on how best to care for their furry friends with all attendees receiving a cat goody bag.

Charlotte Clark, library manager, said: 'We have previously had the Dogs Trust come and run sessions for children so it is great that kids can come and find out more about another of our furry friends.'
