A fire crew from Sprowston was needed to make sure a telephone pole was safe in Rackheath yesterday afternoon, after a lorry had crashed into the pole.
Emergency services were called to Green Lane East at 12.55pm following the crash, which was blocking traffic.
The fire crew made the electrical components and the scene safe as the telephone pole was smoking.
The driver of the lorry suffered only a minor shoulder injury and the scene was clear by 1.45pm.
