Lord Somerleyton is calling on people to take part in a 5km walk or 10km run to raise money for the British Red Cross.
On June 11, Somerleyton Hall and grounds will be opened to allow people to take part in the sponsored event.
The entrance fee is £20 for runners and £10 for walkers, with participants encouraged to raise at least £30 in sponsorship. Family and friends will also receive a discount for entrance into the gardens.
The event will help raise vital funds for local services such as first aid provision, befriending of the elderly, transport from hospital to home, local refugee support and mobility aids. It will also be used to support the Refugee Appeal in Europe.
Lord Somerleyton said: 'It is great to know that the money we raise will be getting spent both here in Norfolk but also helping people currently living in refugee camps too.'
