David Cameron today unveiled a 200m package which could support voluntary groups across the country, including Norfolk.
The move, revealed in the House of Commons during prime minister's questions, came as part of a deal with the banks to rein in bonuses and lend 190bn to businesses this year.
But Mr Cameron faced accusations from Labour leader Ed Miliband that public spending cuts were putting the Big Society idea at risk as some councils look to axe services such as libraries.
And there was anger that despite a deal with the banks, bosses of state-backed RBS and Lloyds TSB will between them receive bonuses totalling nearly 3.5m.
Find out what the measure means for Norfolk in tomorrow's EDP.
