The 57-year-old, who lives in Norwich, established her own publishing house in 1997 specialising in academic and business publishing.
Her published works include novels and non-fiction, of which the one she describes as most notable is The Environment Handbook.
Married with two grown-up sons, Mrs Curran is a former Labour councillor in Norwich, one of a number who have switched their allegiance to the Greens.
