The chain of office will be worn by Sheringham Mayor David Gooch for a another year after he was re-elected to office.
Fellow town councillors voted unanimously for Mr Gooch to serve a second term.
Councillor Madeleine Ashcroft praised Mr Gooch for carrying out a 'splendid job' as mayor.
She said: 'You have grown into the role and I consider you are perfect for it next year.'
Accepting his renomination at the annual council meeting Mr Gooch said he had enjoyed serving as mayor and was looking forward continuing in the role.
Deputy mayor Mark Hill was also re-appointed during at the meeting, which took place earlier this month.
