Patrick Lee has won yesterday's Knapton Parish Council by-election.
Mr Lee, of Lawn Close, Knapton, gained 89 votes in the poll. His opponent, Robin Simmonds, of School Close, Knapton, attracted nine votes.
There was one spoilt ballot paper. The turnout was 33.9pc based on an electorate of 292.
The vacancy was created by the resignation of David Gale.
