Elizabeth Truss has said she will be backing Theresa May in the Conservative leadership contest.
The South West Norfolk MP tweeted today to announce her support for the home secretary in the battle to succeed Prime Minister David Cameron.
On Twitter she said: 'I am backing @TheresaMay2016;0 our country needs a strong, serious leader to get the best EU exit for Britain and to champion social reform.'
Environment secretary Ms Truss had initially backed Boris Johnson for the top job before he dropped out of the leadership race last week.
