Asked by the EDP if there was anything that could change his position, Mr Clegg said: 'No'.
HOUSES: Delegates called for a major home-building programme to boost the economy and address the UK's housing shortage yesterday. The motion called for a target of 300,000 new homes a year and 'radical steps' to free up public land for development.
PLanning: Party delegates approved a motion yesterday to demand ministers withdraw measures relaxing planning rules for the next three years. Under proposals aimed at boosting the economy George Osborne announced homeowners could build extensions double the size currently permitted without the need for planning permission.
