A glitch has brought down Broadland District Council's website, with the IT problems also affecting emails at the authority.
The council says it is unable to determine how long the problem will last, but is working to sort out the problem as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, the council is urging people to visit www.facebook.com/BroadlandEvents or check @BroadlandDC on Twitter for further information and updates. In April, embarrassed bosses at Norfolk County Council apologised after a computer failure meant almost 2,000 staff at the authority were not able to read or send emails for more than a week.
Staff and experts from Microsoft had to work 'around the clock' to resolve the problem, which they said was because of system fault, rather than a 'cyber attack'.
