A highly debated planning application is to be heard by the North Norfolk District Council on August 31, with councillors currently recommended to pass the application for a new tea room in Cromer.
The tea room, situated in Fearns Park, will be a timber-clad building selling hot food and drink.
Despite 23 letters of complaint, citing negative visual impact, to lack of disabled accessibility, the conclusion of the planning officers ahead of the vote is that this venture should be backed.
However, the application has been backed by the Cromer Town Council, as well as the Suffield Park ward councillor Nigel Pearce, who said: 'Having viewed the application thus far, I basically feel that it would be an asset in the location.'
Some residents agree, with Mr Sadler, of Forest Park, Cromer, saying: 'The proposal for the tearoom on Fearns Park is a fantastic idea. It will create a good space for families.'
The vote will take place on August 31 at 9.30am, at the Council Offices on Holt Road.
