An expansion to a Travellers' site at Swanton Road in Norwich has been approved by the Norwich City Council planning committee.
A further 13 plots for Travellers will be created, along with amenity blocks for the residents.
The proposal arose out of a need, recognised by the council, to provide more pitches for Travellers throughout Norwich and the surrounding areas.
The city council has pledged to provide a 'considerable number of additional pitches by 2026'.
Committee member Sally Button said: 'This permanent arrangement will be a welcome addition.'
