A blueprint has been drawn up detailing how council chiefs intend to energise economic growth, help business startups and create jobs in Norfolk over the next five years.
The draft strategy, Delivering Economic Growth in Norfolk, brings together a range of initiatives, such as money to support apprenticeships. calls for improvements to the A47 and improving business perceptions of the county.
The growth strategy is a result of county council leader Derrick Murphy's pledge last year that the authority would do everything in its power to support economic growth and prosperity in Norfolk.
The strategy aims to complement the work of the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) as well as providing focus for the council's own initiatives.
Mr Murphy said: 'It's up to Norfolk County Council to bang the drum for our county, speaking up for Norfolk with a clear focus on the county's priorities for economic growth.'
The strategy will be considered by the council's environment, transport and development overview and scrutiny panel next week before going to the Conservative-controlled cabinet for approval.
