Norwich North MP Chloe Smith has been given a new role in government following Prime Minister Theresa May's reshuffle.
Ms Smith, the former Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Northern Ireland and Assistant Government Whip for the House of Commons, has been appointed Parliamentary Secretary in the Cabinet Office.
Speaking about her new position, which is also referred to as Minister for the Constitution, she said: I'm delighted to take on the new role and it is a return to work I have done previously.
'It has been a real pleasure to have been a Northern Ireland minister, especially with the Brexit negotiations, and I was pleased to be a part of that.'
Ms Smith said her new role would not keep her from her constituents.
'It has always been important to me make sure my constituents come first but I also think it is important to work hard in national interests too if asked.'
