Lings at Lowestoft hosted the official opening of the Hein Gericke Outlet motorcycle clothing and accessory store, the latest in the growing range of brands and products available at its Riverside Road site.
The Hein Gericke Outlet is the single largest stockist of Hein Gericke products in the UK with more than 4,000 product lines in store and online, making it a one-stop shop for riders with a huge range of clothing including helmets, gloves and leathers, as well as rider essential accessories such as bike covers, stands and luggage.
Frank Mortimer. Waveney District Council cabinet member for customers and communities, opened Hein Gericke Outlet store with Lings director Paul Barkshire and manager Laura Nettleingham.
Mr Barkshire said: 'We're absolutely delighted to have Hein Gericke on board with us in Lowestoft. As one of the world's most trusted and recognisable brands in motorcycle gear, Hein Gericke sits perfectly alongside our range of Honda, Triumph and Husqvarna motorcycle franchises and allows us to offer a comprehensive service to our motorcycle customers, both old and new.'
The Hein Gericke brand has enjoyed huge investment after extensive restructuring, and is relaunching in the UK with a new product range that remains true to the core ethos of the company – high quality, affordable and safe motorcycle gear.
Outlet manager Laura Nettleingham said: 'The Hein Gericke range has a great reputation among bikers. It's fantastic to bring this huge range to bikers on the east coast in our new Outlet store – and further afield on our website – hein-gericke-outlet.com.
'We've already seen there is a huge appetite for the brand since we had our soft-opening last year – shipping across the country – we can offer the largest Hein Gericke range in the UK, and one of the largest in Europe. We can only see that appetite growing.'

For Lings Motor Group, the Hein Gericke Outlet has been an excellent opportunity to make further use of the huge, state-of-the-art facility at Lowestoft. The whole first floor of the 48,000 square feet building has been dedicated to the Outlet store, which has also created several new jobs both on the shop floor and behind the scenes in the mail order department.
This marks another step in the redevelopment of the Lowestoft site after a tidal surge devastated the business. Since suffering flooding in December 2013 the business has gone from strength to strength, welcoming the Mitsubishi car franchise, and recently being recognised as one of the top dealerships in the Mitsubishi Motors UK network, Triumph motorcycles and recently Husqvarna motorcycles. This was in addition to the 60-year association with Honda and the MotorLings all-make used car areas of the business.
Hein Gericke Outlet is now open on the first floor of Lings Motor Group, Riverside Road, Lowestoft. Telephone 01502 507555 or visit www.hein-gericke-outlet.com
