Coastguards and lifeboats were involved in the search for an 84-year-old woman on the Norfolk coast last night.
Police raised the alarm that the woman from the Hopton area was missing and alerted HM Coastguard based at Great Yarmouth which commenced a search at 8.26pm.
Ian Haines, watch officer for HM Coastguard said Gorleston Coastguard Rescue Team, Lowestoft Coastguard Rescue Team, the RNLI inshore lifeboat at Gorleston and the search and rescue helicopter from RAF Wattisham were involved in the search along the coast at Gorleston.
Mr Haines said the operation finished at about 9.05pm by which time police had located the woman safe and well in the Gorleston area.
