Cromer lifeboat launched this morning to help a pleasure boat with engine troubles three miles off the coast.
The 38ft Annalise, with two people on board, called for help off Sheringham.
Cromer's temporary beach-based lifeboat, stationed at the resort while improvements are made to the pier end station in readiness for a new boat, made its first ever launch, and escorted the Annalise towards Yarmouth.
It was expected a local lifeboat would complete the task.
