The latest act to be announced to play Thetford Forest this summer is 90s chart toppers M People.
The award winning dance act will perform on Friday July 13 as part of the Forestry Commission's annual Forest Tour.
Big names bands including The Feeling, James Morrison, Travis and Blondie have already been confirmed at the venue this summer.
Amongst many accolades, M People collected a Brit Award
for Best British Dance Act and a Mercury Music Prize.
Their string of top ten hits including 'One Night In Heaven', 'Moving On Up', 'How Can I Love You More?', 'Don't Look Any Further', 'Renaissance', 'Sight For Sore Eyes', 'Just For You', 'Search For
A Hero' and 'Open Your Heart'.
The band are recognised as the first mainstream dance act to marry the
pace of house music to the traditional crafted pop songs with strong melodies.
Heather Small from M People says: "We have played in many different
locations but never in forests so we're really looking forward to doing
these gigs."
Mike Taylor, from the Forestry Commission said: "M People are a great act to secure as part of this year's Forest Tour line-up.
"Seeing them in the unique atmosphere of our sites will be a truly
magical experience."
All of the shows will be supporting The Forestry Commission's valuable social and environmental programmes.
