King's Lynn Town Hall will be lit up in yellow and blue to mark World Down Syndrome Day.

For the second year in a row, the famous chequered façade in Saturday Market Place will be lit up on the evening of Wednesday, March 21.

Rebecca Fisher, a blogger who campaigns to raise awareness about Down Syndrome, said: 'I requested the lighting-up of the town hall last year for my little brother, this year it is for everyone, so families from around this area could all meet up and show each other support.

'My brother is three and was born with Down Syndrome. Some people think siblings with Down Syndrome are a burden, but in reality Rory being born has shown me that I love to help raise awareness, and that's why I started my blog.

'The Down Syndrome Association has been an amazing resource, it helps so many families find much needed information about Down Syndrome.'

Ms Fisher's meetup begins at 6pm at the town hall and all are welcome to join. For more information, visit www.thecoastalmummy.com.
