A man appeared in court today charged with theft, assault and possession of a weapon after an incident in Loke Road, King's Lynn.
Charlie Kennett, 22, of Walpole Road, North Lynn, is accused of stealing alcohol from a Costcutter store on Tuesday January 5, assaulting the shopkeeper who gave chase and possessing a bladed article in a public place.
This morning King's Lynn magistrates bailed him to appear again on January 25, on condition he resides at an address in Walpole Road, observes a 9pm to 6am curfew, does not enter Costcutter or make contact with any witness in the case.
Two other men arrested in connection with the incident have been bailed pending further enquiries.
