King’s Lynn fishermen meet politicians for Brexit talks

Fishermen meet Euro MPs today for talks on how Brexit could benefit their struggling industry.

Campaigners say EU fisheries policies have seen thousand of jobs lost and boats scrapped because they couldn't earn a living.

Fishing For Leave claims Brexit creates 'a golden opportunity' for Britain to reclaim its fisheries and rejuvenate a multi-billion pound industry.

But officials from the Eastern Inshore Fishing and Conservation Authority believes some rules governing catches will remain in place.

Fishermen from King's Lynn's shrimp and shellfish fleet are meeting Euro MPs on the quayside this lunchtime.
