Celebrations have got under way across Norfolk and north Suffolk to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

The first day of the four-day bank holiday has been welcomed with blue skies and sunshine as fetes, fairs, parties and competitions start in earnest.

A day of entertainment has got under way in Easton, near Norwich, with a cricket match which will be followed by a picnic and a decorated bikes, trikes and scooters competition.

In King's Lynn, the 1948 Olympic Torch has been set off on its relay. Activities have started in Great Yarmouth's St George's Park and the 1st Dereham Scouts have set off on their parade to the church for a special coronation service.
