Tourism is the largest industry in Norfolk, supporting more than 59,000 people and contributing billions to the local economy. There are currently dozens of job vacancies on offer in the industry on the Jobs24 website as companies prepare for the start of the new season with a recruitment drive.

Haven are hosting a jobs fair at their Hopton Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth this Saturday and Sunday as they try to fill over 100 vacancies currently on offer including sports coaches, arcade attendants and glass collectors.

Retail Manager at the park, Tom Kirkpatrick, explained that they are looking for enthusiastic people to join there team and you don't need previous experience.

He said: 'We are looking for people who are bright and breezy and fit in with our company value of bringing fun to the park.

'People need to be willing to learn new skills and have a outgoing personality.'

Saturday also sees Park Resorts' recruitment open day at Breydon Water Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth as the holiday complex look for staff for the 2016 season.

Banham Zoo also have a host of seasonal vacancies. Sadly there are none that involve working with the animals but they do need costume characters, gift shop team members and cleaners.

And if the pre-historic age is more your thing, the Dinosaur Park at Lenwade are on the hunt for people to join their attractions team.

Martin Dupée, Chair of Norfolk Tourist Attractions Assoiations, expressed how important seasonal jobs like these are to the county's economy.

He said: 'Seasonal work for many is relied upon both by those accepting the positions and the seasonal attractions they support and work in and with this the knock on to the local economy cannot be overestimated.

'It is crucial to all seaside resorts as well as the many towns and villages as the income generated filters into household incomes.'
