Omnisoft Services, one of the largest software development companies in Northern Ireland, has chosen Diss as its location for a new software development hub.

The hub, in Diss Business Park, will be developing a new range of online games, web services and design, social media management, education training tools and software development services for private, public and non-profit organisations. It is being led by Nathan Flatman, who recently returned to his home county after spending 18 years working in Ireland and London within various IT, training and regeneration organisations.

'Bringing Omnisoft Services to South Norfolk has been a key strategic decision for the organisation and I believe shows a strong commitment to developing East Anglia as a hotbed of talent for leading IT companies,' he said.

The company employs just over 60 full-time staff at its County Down Head office, servicing a range of clients in social media marketing, app development, web design and game development.

'We envisage in time to recruit a team of around 15 local QT programmers, lead and junior programmers, copywriters, games developer, graphic designers, illustrators, multi-media videographers, which will work on a number of projects including our Game to Change products and Keystagetwo.com education website,' added Mr Flatman.
