The pooch has been visited by 2,000 people since arriving at the Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre in Snetterton six months ago but has not yet found a home as he is always sleeping.

His story has been seen 60,000 times on the EDP Facebook page and been shared nearly 450 times on social media, with one reader from the United States even enquiring about re-homing the three-year-old dog.

A spokesperson from Dogs Trust said of the response to the story: 'We have had a lot of interest and many people have been to see him but he is still waiting on a new home.

'One woman was unable to re-home him but did bring him some sweets which was sweet.'
