An unsung hero who works tirelessly to help people from all walks of life has been named winner of the annual Fakenham Community Volunteer Award.
Jan Stratton volunteers at the Fakenham Citizens Advice Bureau which is solely run by volunteers.
Mrs Stratton strives to ensure that funds are available to keep the service running and supervises a team.
Many people from Fakenham and the surrounding area benefit from the this service.
The Fakenham Community Volunteer Award is run by Fakenham Town Council and has been presented to Mrs Stratton by town mayor Adrian Vertigan.
The Fakenham Citizens Advice Bureau is situated in the Fakenham Connect building, on Oak Street, two days a week and works with all other services based in the building.
