THE James Paget Hospital is issuing an urgent warning to patients who may receive or have already received a letter purporting to be from the Trust around Metformin.
The bogus letter contains information detailing the side effects of consuming alcohol when using the drug Metformin.
The letter has not been produced or authorised by the Trust. It features a logo which has been taken from the Trust website and includes a copyright. This is not a genuine template and does not replicate a format used anywhere within the hospital.
Anyone who has received one of the letters should contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 01493 453240.
