A golf day raised more than £3,500 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) with 18 teams taking part.

The event was organised by the director of GPS app firm iTracked to thank the charity for helping his father when he collapsed at Gorleston Golf Club in 2014.

Marcus Bishop, who founded iTracked in Great Yarmouth last year, said the EAAA – combined with quick-thinking friends on the course – had saved his father Glyn Bishop's life.

He was able to present the charity with a cheque for £3,643.15, which was raised with the help of a raffle.

The winning team came from Vauxhall Mallards Cricket Club and was made up of Troy Allen, Tom Miller, Hudson Delucchi and Will Grisley who won a three night trip to Italy – donated by Mr Bishop's other business TM Ski.

Mr Bishop added he wanted to thank all the sponsors which donated prizes as well as everyone who took part in the event.
