The inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death of a man who died after being struck by a train in Newton Flotman.
Mark Mills, 47, of Meredith Road, Hellesdon, near Norwich, was hit near to the level crossing in Greenways just after 8am on Wednesday, September 5.
British Transport Police and an air ambulance attended but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The train involved was the 8am Norwich to Liverpool Street Greater Anglia service.
An inquest opened into his death in Norwich today by Norfolk Coroner William Armstrong heard cause of death was massive soft tissue and bone trauma as a consequence of impact by a railway locomotive.
