An inquest was opened and adjourned today into the death of a Norwich woman whose body was pulled from the Norfolk Broads.
Susan Spear, of Compass Tower, Heartsease, had been on a boat on the Broads the day her body was found,
Norfolk coroner William Armstrong said the 54-year-old's dead body was pulled from the water at Wroxham Broad on Sunday, March 27.
He told the Norwich inquest that a post mortem examination was carried out and the cause of death was given as drowning.
He said: 'Her death is subject to an investigation currently being undertaken, so I will adjourn the inquest to a later date pending the outcome of those investigations.'
As reported, a man in his 50s has been arrested in connection with the discovery of her body.
