A charity is appealing for a family to adopt a blind dog.

RSPCA inspectors recently rescued 16 dogs from a Norfolk home following a complaint of neglect.

The charity has had a great response from the public, and many of the dogs are being adopted into new and loving homes, however one of the terrier crosses, Robbie, has not been so fortunate.

Danah Fadhel, animal care supervisor at the charity's Barrack Street centre in Norwich, said: 'Robbie is a lovely dog. 'No-one has been interested in him so far though, as he is blind. It is a shame, he will be a loving and loyal companion to one lucky family. Ideally he would be re-homed in a quiet household, as he is a bit nervous of loud noises. He would need to live with another dog who would be able to help him out and take him under their wing. If no suitable home could be found with an existing dog, Robbie would have to paired up with another dog in our care that he gets on with and they would have to be rehomed together.'

Families interested in adopting Robbie, or who would like some more information, can log on to the website www.rspcanorwich.org or contact The Paws Centre on 01603 766001, open Tuesdays to Sundays, 11am to 4pm.
