A holidaymaker has described his shock after he went out for a walk and returned to see the old Pontins site in Hemsby up in flames.
It is the second fire in less than three months at the site on Beach Road with residents calling for landowners, Northern Trust, to 'do something' to the derelict holiday park.
Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service say they were called to the fire at 10.20pm on Tuesday night but the cause is still unknown.
An eyewitness said they could see 10ft flames coming from the site.
Dave Penny, 52, is staying at Florida Chalet Park and Clubhouse which neighbours the former Pontins site.
He said: 'We heard banging when we left last night and when we returned the fire brigade were here putting a fire out. We saw smoke and it was quite a shock to come back to.
'It's really sad because we use to go to Pontins regularly as a family but now the site just seems to have been left to rot.'
Brian Tomlinson, 70, who lives on Newport Road which backs onto the site, said he saw two cars parked on the opposite side of the road last night which rose his suspicions.
'I saw two cars parked outside which I thought was a bit strange. The next thing I knew they zoomed off at quite a speed, screeching their tyres as they left,' he said.
Mr Tomlinson, added: 'It's about time something was done to the site otherwise this will keep happening.'
In August, more than 90 firefighters tackled a large fire which caused extensive damage to the derelict holiday park.
Following that blaze, Northern Trust was advised they needed to secure the site.
Councillor for East Flegg Ward, James Bensly, has warned the landowners more needs to be done to make the site safe before a 'tragic accident happens'.
He said: 'It's getting beyond a joke and it is time for Northern Trust to step up and take responsibilty. It is frightening how regularly this is happening.
'It is imperative that they make the site safer and improve security.'
The newspaper has attempted to contact Northern Trust but they are yet to respond.
