A medical secretary from Hockering has overcome her shyness after getting through the audition stage of popular television show Britain's Got Talent.

Marea Smithson, who works in the radiology department at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, appeared on the talent show on Saturday night (April 21) where she performed impressions to the judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon.

Her send-ups of The Weakest Link presenter Anne Robinson, Coronation Street's Deirdre Barlow and Audrey Roberts, and former Strictly Come Dancing star and politician Ann Widdecombe left both the panel and audience in hysterics.

The secretary made a nervous entrance onto the stage and after her audition, Simon told her: 'You've got a confidence issue.'

Her other impressions included stars from TV hits The Only Way is Essex and Benidorm.
