A mill which dates back hundreds of years has been opened up as a vintage tea room.

Loddon Mill was split into two sections less than 10 years ago but while one part has been run as a wellbeing centre the other has been private.

But now the historic building has been opened up as the Loddon Mill Vintage Tea Rooms and Collectables.

David Charles, 49, and Glen Philpott, 47, initially bought the four-floor mill as their home, but decided to open up the view of the river Chet for others to enjoy.

Mr Charles said: 'Nobody gets to see the tranquil setting from the front of the mill and many are simply amazed when they come round the back and see the size of the river and views over the allotments to the rear.

'We simply wanted to open up our gardens and this landmark building for the enjoyment of others and have been overwhelmed by the favourable comments and support.'
